My BFF's Firstborn

This is Jackson. He is amazing on the guitar. Amazing. He is also intelligent, kind, full of thoughts, and helpful to his busy mama. Did I mention he's only 13? I'm hoping one of these will make the cut as the cover for his first album.

We were blessed to spend Easter with these guys and their progeny. It was also their 15th anniversary so we did a little photo shoot to commemorate the occasion. We love them to pieces and are so grateful for their example as a married couple and as parents...my man shaved his head first though!

In memory of January, February, and March

Just to remind myself that these months actually happened and my kiddos did a lot of growing and changing and experiencing and loving during those cold dark winter weeks...I am posting some of my own kids. Wispy hair peeking out of hats turned into real deal pony tails. Snow-covered mittens and icicled eyelashes have given way to sandy crocs and, as of today, catching crayfish in the creek. To everything, there is a season....

Winter Fun!

My cousin Kerri invited us out to their place for some sledding back in February. It was one of those bright sparkly winter days and the colorful snow gear on the kids made it even happier. We made some wonderful memories and I managed to snap a few photos between sled rides as well!

A fun day in the park with some old friends and new babysitters! Interesting side note: these pictures were taken in between attacks by swarms of gnats. The girls would wildly swat the bugs away and then smile for a picture before they came back! Thanks for being such good sports, girls!

Here are a few shots from a fun afternoon I spent with the Beckwith Family this past summer. Charis and Caedmon are absolutely precious! Their daddy, Beau, saved our bacon one day last year by installing our new shower system...the least I could do was take some pictures of their beautiful family!
